The Audabram marble masonry business, is a complete stoneworking organisation : uquarry, workshops and finally showroom presenting our high-quality finished products.

The founder of the business, Gabriel Audabram, started up in the upper Aude valley in 1963 and soon developed his experience and know-how in monumental masonry. Immediately successful, the business quickly became one involving the whole family.

In 1977, his son Yves Audabram introduced a new concept in the region : he opened one of the very first showrooms for marble destined for construction work and fireplaces.

1983 : the company moved to new premises on Carcassonne's Bouriette Industrial Estate, and could then offer a wider range of natural stone : the traditional types plus other varieties from all over the world (Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia).

Our stonemasonry experience made it possible for us to transform those materials into a whole range of products and to offer our clients an extremely varied choice.

Richard Audabram, third generation, came into the business in 1993. He also participates in the development of the Marble works and with his father takes a great interest in local development.

The possibilities of restoration work in the "Bas Languedoc" led the Audabrams to seek a new extraction site locally.

The Grès de Carcassonne Quarry started operations in 1999 and Audabram could then offer quality local materials to constructors, in particular the State.

2003 saw the general use of locally-extracted Grès de Carcassonne sandstone in preference to any other substitute material.

On Richard Audabram's initiative, the family Company committed itself to the revival and development of stoneworking in the Aude department.
